Triangle Chapter Chili Cook-off March 6, 2016

By Annie Goldman
On Saturday April, 2017 - yes, it REALLY did happen on April Fool's Day - members came out in force with some of the best chili ever!  We had 13 different kinds and types of this delicious meal.  There were also at least 4 different corn breads and 11 desserts, along with chips, dip, drinks and salad.  If you weren't full, you weren't eating!

There were 43 members attending.  Thanks to Joel Hoffman for hosting the event. Joel's Hoffman front yard, driveway and backyard looked like a car show, with 20 classics mixed in with daily drivers.  It was quite a collection, to say the least.  Members chatted and talked and shared opinions on the chili choices.  It really was a hard decision to make as to whose was the best... but the winners are:
  - Best Chili: Sybol Daniel
  - Hottest Chili:  Andrea Irby
  - Best Cornbread: Peggy Barnes, again :)
  - Best Dessert: Mary Butcher
After the votes were tallied, we moved to games.  Joel made up a list of Members’ Vehicles and you had to match up the nickname of the vehicle to the correct vehicle.  Demi Goldman was the winner and matched up all the correct names to the correct vehicles.  Then, the "odd tools" were shared by Dean Tryon and Floyd Barnes, while Joel Hoffman shared how he "fixed" a problem, while working on his Jeep.
